I have been working with Corel since version 4. What was once considered a kids play DTP program is considered by many the choice of professionals…
Corel Draw Designers tips:
1) Use the icons or keyboard commands instead of menus…much more expedient
2) If you have a pretty busy file and are encountering problems…view> wire frame to see what's really going on
3) Want to experiment with some really cool effects…effects> artistic media…play with the different effects offered, you will surprise yourself, I guarantee it.
4) Set your "nudging" up properly…tools>options>edit>set "units" to inches and "Super nudge" to 2
5) Construct your own paint palette and save it depending on your intended use for this application… for printing in spot make a palette and save it, for CMYK make a palette and save it. Use them when you need them and continue to update as you establish a regular customer base…window>color palettes>open palette to open pre made palettes If you are a graphic designer providing freelance work get yourself some professionally printed business cards!
